We've been living and working in Portugal for over two years now.
In those two years we've dealt with plenty of paperwork and headaches ourselves, and our whole goal is simply to save you all that hassle.
Almost everything we do, you could technically do yourself. Our advantage is that we already know how things work here, who to talk to and what's needed, so we can save you time, paperwork, headaches and unnecessary costs.

What people usually ask
Do you only work in Porto?
We're based in Porto and that's where most of our work happens. For other areas in Portugal, tell us the location and what's needed and we'll see if we can help.
Can I get help while I’m still outside Portugal?
Yes — that's actually our most common case. Many of our services exist exactly for people who are still outside Portugal and need someone to be their presence here.
How do we get started?
Send us a WhatsApp message and tell us what's needed. We'll look into it, tell you what's possible and what isn't, and only then talk about price and scope.
How do I get a price quote?
Once we understand what's needed, where and when. We don't have a fixed price list because no two cases are the same, but the scope and price are always agreed in writing before we start.
Are you lawyers or an immigration office?
No. PortoMate is a support, guidance and errand-services company. When something needs a licensed professional or legal handling, we'll say so and point you to the right person.
Do you help with things that aren't listed on the site?
Often, yes. The site shows what we do on a regular basis, but a lot of requests start with "I know this sounds odd, but...". Tell us what you need.
